Artist’s Statement:
In this print, I have used the same block of the glider in ‘Soaring’ but I have added a letterpress border around its edge. To see the original, click here!

The effect of the border is to create an entirely new image from that of ‘Soaring’ (which does not include the border). The border frames the block and gives the viewer a sense of staring out a window and watching a scene unfold. This new configuration also allows for more vertical details to be introduced into the original’s primarily horizontal design.
